fax broadcasting – J2

J2 likes to claim that they are the champions of blocking junk fax or SPAM fax, but while other companies chose to stop allowing broadcast faxing as a web service to reduce junk faxes from their system, J2 still has a very public service that allows it. Certainly they will say that they have no control over what their customers do and they are very strict, shut them down, etc. etc. etc., but the fact is that if you allow broadcast, then you are likely sending some junk faxes.

The better solution is to integrate your solution into your customers’ back office so they can send faxes to their customers or approved prospects. This should also be easy to do with SOHO customers, but you limit the size of each round of blast or you setup a method to get pre-approval on the blast.

J2 needs to get over themselves and get on with the business of selling, supporting, and sending faxes in a responsible manner. Save the holier than though for someone who will still buy it.
