This sounds like an interesting solution to the VOIP/Fax conundrum. They route the faxes through their unified messaging portal (I assume Internet Fax) and then customers can access them. I am going to read through more of their information to determine what they have and will follow-up with a review.
Jason Talley, president and CEO of Nuvio, explained that the application, Personal Fax, was added in response to growth of small to medium-sized businesses SMBs using Internet-based business phone systems. Nuvio designed Personal Fax to meet the needs of these customers.“This service allows our customers to receive inbound faxes on any telephone number they use with us and integrates seamlessly into their integrated messaging portal,” Talley said in a statement.
Here’s how the new functionality works: Personal Fax routes faxes to Nuvio’s unified messaging portal, where they are processed. Users have several options regarding how to receive faxes: by e-mail, for viewing on a Web page, or both.
